Are these Lyndall rear brake pads installed?
I bought from J & P Cycles and paid a shop to install them. Not sure if they did, these look like OEM that are still on there? "Hayes"
is imprinted on these

I would Not have used that Link for your example ... WRONG Picture (which can be normal), but CORRECT part# for your 99-earlier Rear Caliper (can lead to a bunch of crappy responses )
"Hayes" as in original name "Kelsey-Hayes" (it looks like they may have renamed to just Hayes) was the original caliper manufacturer.
To answer your question, I personally would call Lyndall to to check if they happen to use Hayes Backing Plates to apply their friction material to
(which would seem odd and doesn't really make sense, but )
In Person, how's the Friction Material look (and actually whole pad) ...New?
Personally, I've never held a Lyndall Pad, so I can't Draw on that. So...
Not being there, I would lean towards NOT being Lyndall, but I would investigate first

Here's how you can tell if they're Lyndall Z Plus pads. Hose down the rear caliper with water from a garden hose, thoroughly. Start the bike, head down the nearest open road, wind it up to 60mph and step on the rear brake. If the first thought in your mind is "Oh sh*t my brakes went out!", they're Lyndall Z Plus pads. I think there's a video of a guy on a Sportster using the Lyndall Z Pus Foot pads around here somewhere
Now, humor aside, to be sure you're gonna have to remove them and look. That's really the only way. Sir G is right, Lyndall doesn't make brake pads, they use suppliers and re-brand them.

Hmm ... what did I tell ya
It really would have made No sense for Lyndall to use the Hayes backing plates for several reasons
But a Major Reason is... Why on Earth would Lyndall want someone else's name on their Brake Pads?
Thanks for the Update
Here's your 7157-Z Pads ... See any "Hayes" on there ... No
