Default Forward control brake pedal on fxdb

Is a small amount of lateral play on the blade pedal normal? I replaced the stock forward mounted brake pedal with a genuine HD edge cut accessory pedal and there is a small amount of side to side movement in the pedal. I honestly don't know if the stock pedal moved or not.

Wink

All moving parts have some play in them, otherwise they couldn't move! So yes, a small amount of lateral play is normal. Next time you visit a dealer take a look around and try a few pedals, to see how yours compares. Over a high mileage wear will increase that play and indeed I have recently replaced the bushings and pivot on one of my foot controls.

Put the stock lever back on and see if there's a difference. If not, you don't have to worry.
