What size wheels for baggers

Has anyone ever heard of running a 16" rear wheel with a 21 or 18" front wheel on a bagger?
I have an 07 Street Glide and want to buy some custom wheels for it and was wondering what the best combo would be.
I was on the Hogpro site and they offer some sets for baggers with a 16" rear wheel and the option to upgrade to a 21" front wheel.
Is it me or does that sound like a drastic difference from front to rear?
Any input is appreciated
Thank you

SEE NATIVECUSTOMBAGGERS.COM PAUL RICHARDS KNOWS BAGGERS. THE COMBO MENTIONED IS ON A BOAT LOAD OF BAGGERS OUT THERE. I SUGGEST TO YOU IF YOU WANT A BIGGER VARIETY OF TIRES IN THE REAR, SIZE OR SHAPE GO WITH A 17 REAR. ALL CROTCH ROCKETS ARE USING 17 SO THE TIRE SELECTION IS HUGE!!! CALL PAUL LATER THIS WEEK AT 2692769200.

You can do the 16 rear and 18 or 21 front...Hogpro is a very popular company for the bagger scene...I'm running their "8 Spoke" 21 front/18rear.

The best way to go would be 18/18 or 21/18...just my .02...you'll get the look, the 16/21 might make the front of the bike stand a little taller...if you can live with it, you'll be ok

good luck

18 x 4.25 and 160/60-18 Metzeler. This combo sometimes causes rubbing depending on the bike and wheel used, so we always recommend the 150.

Can you run a 18 x 51/2 rim with 150 tire on a flhx?

People do it but you are stretching the 150 beyond safe limits on a 5.5 rim.

Is it true that with a 21" front and a 18 x 4.25 and 160/60-18 Metzeler on the reaer that it will effect the load rating?

What is the max load with that setup?

Thanks

there are no major problems with the 21/18 or the 18/18 or the 18/16 wheel combo. I personally prefer the 21/18 combo, since it allows you to see more wheel up front. You can stuff a 21" tire up front with out messing with your stock fenders, however, we do have some dealers that are modifying the front to fit the 23" wheel. It's all a matter of personal opinion.
