Hi,

I have a friend that has a set of 2007 Street Glide profile laced wheels. I want to put them on my 2000 Road King Classic. Will they fit. If not can they be modified to fit?

Hi, The front should fit fine but your stock rear wheel has a 3/4" axle,the '07 is 1" You'll&nbsp\\;need to get a set of 3/4" id&nbsp\\;bearings(JP cycles&nbsp\\;sells a kit that has both bearings &amp\\; the spacer that goes inside the hub),you will need a special bearing puller or have a shop do it. You might consider upgrading your swing-arm &amp\\; axle assembly to the newer&nbsp\\; 1' 03 &amp\\; up swingarm. It's a better design &amp\\; much stronger(the earlier design has been known to crack. I'm sure I saw a couple of posts on this site about doing the change over &amp\\; you should be able to snag a newer swing arm off E-bay

 

Thanks for the info. I noticed on the harley parts web that the 2000-2001 had a different part number for the rear. That makes sense now understanding your post. It is a different part number because the axle is smaller.

I'll figure out which way to go.
