Nitrogen air reservoir shocks 88 Softail
Thought I'd already posted this - old age creepin' on! My '88 Softail has soggy rear suspension, and the bike is fitted with original shocks with air reservoirs filled with nitrogen. The bike bottoms out when pushed. Can these shocks be refurbished, (Harley have discontinued them), and if not, does anyone have any suggestions as to which shocks I should replace the old ones with! Harley have replacements, at £210 each, but I wonder if they're old technology? I saw a really cheap pair on eBay, from Midwest Cycles. Any comments? Thanks, guys, in advance!

Harley shocks were never much to write home about, I suggest you find somewhere to give them a decent burial and thank them for their service. Most popular brands are not much better either! Phone Howard Messner of Motorcycle Metal, a site sponsor here, and ask his advice. He specialises in shocks and other quality stuff for Harleys.
