Fuel Moto touring E-series 2 inot 1
Just posting the results of my recent purchase from Fuel Moto, I had built a new 110 engine for my 07. Street ported 103 ACR heads, 50MM throttle body, stock 110 cast pistons, about 10.2 compression, Fueling 574 gear drive cams, TTS mastertune, My goal was not to build a HP monster but a good dependable street engine that gets good mileage. I have 2 other bikes that go fast. Seemed pointless to bulld an all out hot rod out of a 900 pound hog. First of all i had to replace the old Bub 7 2 iinto 1 equipped with my home made baffle to increase the torque. I had so much exhaust gas reversion the O2 sensors were getting false readings. This E pipe looked flawless out of the box, head pipes made out of stainless, i mean all the welds were perfect and it fit like a glove, brackets and all. I looked at the inside of it and it does seem to have been improved over the original White Brothers E pipe of which i have one on a Dyna to compare it too. I did use the SE exhaust gaskets instead of the ones supplied.
Now the performance. once i got it broke in and tuned, i'm not really done tuning quite yet but so far the performance is far better than i ever hoped for. I wound up with 13 discs(it came with 14) which i found surprising but they said some engines with more exhaust gas velocity need less discs. It runs so good i am having to upgrade the brakes with floating front rotors and V pads all the way around. I gassed on it a couple times doing some tuning and i realized i was accelerating at 90 MPH like a rocket on a a 900 pound bike on a narrow country road. Sort of scared myself. We did a little roll on from about 50 MPH up to about 110 and it simply just pulled away from everyone including a hot 103 and a new M8. I mean it is supposed to pull away but it pulled away so bad that all the other bikes were not even close and were receding rapidly in the rear view. I can lug it down to 1500 RPM in 6th(not recommended unless your flywheels are trued and welded) and it accelerates like it had an electric motor in it. Oh and i still get around 44 MPG. This is a damn good pipe and it is surprisingly quiet, even on the 110. The E pipe design lets you have torque and top end at the same time. I am very happy and Fuel Moto did good by redesigning and producing these again. Good job Fuel Moto.

Correction it came with 15 discs. After i got the bike fully tuned i went back up to 14 discs from 13 as it seemed to have a bit more top end HP with only a barely noticible reduction in torque. I will post some you tube videos of the fuel moto e series and one of the older White Brother E pipes on a dyna. I have a camcorder with a good stereo mic mounted on top so i can get an accurate recorded sound.

Good review Dave. I've been using one for over a year on my 11' 103 and it's the first exhaust I've ever owned I can't find a reason to get rid of. I'm at 10.2 also with some head work and mild cams. It dyno tuned 109/117 with 12 discs. Crossed 100 ft. lbs. at 1900 rpm. Very pleased with the E-series.

On the topic of sound volume, where will the new unit be in comparison to the E-Series and other 2/1 exhaust systems?

Jamie, is the E-Series 2/1 an appropriate choice for a large displacement engine like my S&S low compression T124? How are you coming with the new 2-into-1 that you’ve had in the works?

For your 124 I would recommend the new 2/1 we are releasing later this month, it's aimed straight at combinations like yours and its an absolute torque monster on those engines. Sound is very reasonable as well, very touring friendly. We are getting really close; i'll share some pictures & info soon.
Is the new 2-1 pipe going to be specifically for bigger builds? Can it be used with 103-107? Will there be a "ghost pipe" offered?
I ask because I'm getting ready to do a stage 1 on a 2015 FLHXS, but plan to do a cam in the next year, but I wouldn't rule out a 107-110 build in the future. I'm leaning toward a 2-1 pipe for performance but because of my extended bags I'm hoping to find a 2-1 that has a "ghost pipe" option and as such, I'm currently leaning toward the d&d boss fatcat.... only because as I understand it you guys don't currently offer ghost pipes for your e-series or road and track.
thanks for your time, John
