how big around is the opening where your arms go? any problems getting these over Harley master cylinders/mirrors?

The opening is 6” across. They fit over the master cylinder on my 2005 fine. You unscrew your mirrors and reinstall them through small openings after you put the Hippo Hands on. If you zoom in on the third pic, you can see where the mirror stems go.
