Default FB Lo or Switchback?

Seriously torn between the two. I've negotiated good deals on both. They're both used with very low mileage and set up exactly how I would want them. The Dyna has the 103 and the FB Lo, the 96.

I've ridden both and feel very comfortable on either bike.

Both bikes are well-suited for the type of riding I do...mostly suburbs, back and forth to work with some light touring (weekend trips).

The Dyna definitely handles better and fits me like a glove...I could ride it all day. While the FB Lo is heavier and not quite as nimble, I love the way it looks, a bit more than the Dyna.

The Lo is calling me, while the Dyna is probably the more "practical" choice.

Just hoping to get feedback from folks who have been in the same situation before.

I was going to get the FLD and even though I love my Heritage I think the Dyna would have handled better on curves, so yes I have some buyer's remorse.
Besides in your case the dyna has the 103

I would go with the Dyna.

The correct answer is that you'd look good on either one.
I'm partial to the SB because it's styled after the old FLs. Do all your research and due diligence and pick the one for YOU. Good luck.

Having owned a FB, all I can say is it never really inspired confidence in the handling, especially in the wet. Use to run 5 psi lower in the front tyre which helped, but was still sketchy.
If you think that the best bike would be the Dyna with the FB looks, then go with the Dyna, because riding it matters more than looking at it.

Why would you be torn between two bikes so completely difference. The switchback is a dyna so it has a little bit better lean angle and faster with the higher revving rubber mounted engine. That fact that no other Harley comes with the always smooth counterbalanced engine, softail (sit in the bike) frame, low center on gravity for easy slow speed handling, old school hard tail look, and endless custom potential. Softails are exciting whether you riding them, customizing them, or just standing back and admiring a work of art. To me softails are the best motorcycles on the plant and there is no other bike that can really compare.

Well, you're buying a motorcycle, so you don't have to be too "practical", but I know what you mean. If possible, try riding both of them all day. There's a big difference between a test ride and an all day ride. The ST will be smoother doing the type of riding you are describing. The Dyna will handle better if you're going to ride aggressively. If you're still more comfortable on the SB after a day in the saddle, go for it. Personally, I think your girl friend would look better on the Lo.

Since you have already ridden them both, then I'd pick the one that feels the best to you.

Softail for the win! Softail with a shotgun shock handles great because you can really firm up the rear suspension. And the Lo looks 10x better (to me at least). But if you're really having that hard of a time, flip a coin. Now when you get the result of the coin flip, if you have that brief "damn it" feeling, you know you really want the other one. Just get what makes you happy. Either will do the type of riding you want. I've done bar hopping, charity rides, 8+ hour rides out of state to visit friends all on my softail.
