Default Las Vegas Bikefest 2014

Some snaps I took at the Artistry in Iron contest. (Indoor ones) I hope you all enjoy. Not the same as being there though.

Default Las Vegas Bikefest 2014

Things that I have observed during the 2014 Las Vegas Bikefest:

1. Holy cow there are a lot of baggers and touring bikes on the road...I mean A LOT!

2. Didn't matter age nor race, but bikers with an audio system on their bike, play their music waaaaaay too loud!

3. No matter what the age, "bikers" constantly found it necessary to twist their throttle every single chance they got. We get it. You are coming through...and your bike is loud.

4. I witnessed way too many unsafe actions performed by "bikers" while riding in the poker runs. "Bikers" cutting off other bikers trying to stay with their group. One guy almost running into a car trying to catch up because he was trailing too far behind his group...and, of course, he mouthed off to the driver of the car. Hardley anyone using hand signals. Many "bikers" riding way to close to the bike in front of them.

5. I would bet that almost 80% of the "bikers" I witnessed riding in front of me, let their feet hang about 30ft(ok, maybe 20ft) from approaching a red light. When the light turned green, those same "bikers" let their feet hang, pretty much, right into 2nd gear.

6. The poker runs and the bike shows were fun. That's was about it though(for me).

7. Speaking of bike shows...seeing these customs up close and in person, really makes you understand the true talent that some of these builders have. Some of the bikes were truly amazing!

8. Vegas is fugging HOT!

9. And has a weird smell...

10. Biker women like sparkly stuff.

PEACE!

I cant disagree with anything you said. I have a hard time riding in groups because of all those things.
I took a safety class about 6 years ago and still use the things I learned there. Seeing the mistakes some riders make, makes you not want to ride bunched up.
But that's the life we choose!

If it's like that in Vegas at a small show I could only imagine what sturgis is like.
