I'd trade my Super Glide for a Low Rider. Front brakes, mid forwards and different rake are a few reasons.

Which one has a "balanced" engine?
FWIW, I would take a Low Rider over a Street Bob every time.

Since both bikes are part of the Dyna family, the Street Bob and Low Rider have the same exact engine.
It comes down to a personal preference in what "look" a rider is after on this one.

Right. I was just curious about the balanced engine reference.

Well, the Softail family uses the balanced engine.
So, not sure what bike they were referencing for that part of the conversation.

As RollaMo said, Softails have what's known as a counter-balanced engine; that is, there's a mechanism built into the engine to offset the vibrations caused by the piston strokes not being exactly opposite each other. Harley uses an "A" and a "B" engine in its big twins, "B" being the counterbalanced one. The "A" engine is rubbermounted on Dynas and touring models, which serves to soak up the vibrations. Softails use the "B" engine because it's solid-mounted to the frame.

Ride both back to back to feel the differences between the two bikes.
Then again, why listen to me since I am not going to buy it for you.

Rent both, and after you ride them, make a choice.
