I tried searching but came up empty, If anyone has a link Id be appreciative. Ive had to move (cheating ***** soon to be ex wife) thats another story. But since the move I no longer have my nice warm garage to park my bike in. I knew the battery has been getting weak on it and Ive been trying to start it a couple times a week but I went out over the weekend and tried to crank and I guess shes finally had all she wants. I had been nursing it along with a tender but the shop its in now doesn't have electricity. So needless to say Im on the hunt for a new battery. Id prefer to stay away from HD pricing but if its the better route Ill bite the bullet. Its going on a 2012 RKC.. Whats my options fellas?
I think I just paid $167 for a replacement Harley battery for my '03 FLH. After 5 Harleys I just avoid all that work to save a dollar or 2 on a battery that doesn;t last as long....
This was my 2nd replacement battery in 12 years for that bike so maybe 6 years per battery. I haven't found anything that lasts any longer and even run a Sportster Battery in my Honda Rancher 4X4. Time is money and they never fail at an opportune time.
I think I'm going to get the Big Crank battery when I need one which maybe pretty soon because mines going to be 4 years old. A lot of guys on this forum talked about how good they were, I think they were about $100
I like the oem battery... have had decent luck with those and they aren't too bad price wise. at least last time i bought one.... $130 for one for my Sporty....haven't had one on SG, and about the same on Softail. regardless....check prices and i'd make sure it was not cheapest, no acid, and good terminals!!!
