The digital sensor (sending unit) for oil pressure gauges looks a lot like the air pressure sensors.
Are these things interchangeable? Maybe they are the same thing??

Could I swap out my air suspension pressure gauge with an oil pressure gauge while using the same sensor? Forgive my late night pondering of useless things.

 

Uhhhh...don't know. HD makes a kit to retrofit an oil temp gage in place of air pressure/temp gages. I did that on my 2005. Trouble is, after seeing how hot the oil gets, I was really much happier NOT knowing what the temps were...

 

A pressure gage is a pressure gage. It does not care if it is getting pneumatic pressure or hydraulic pressure. If they are the same range, I would monitor the pressure I was interested in. Yes they should be able to be changed to monitor whatever pressure you want if the range is the same.
