I don't wear those Chippewas but the 18" high tops. I just got my 4th pair last year. I have worn out 3 pairs since 1981(the first pair was used), and that covers several hundred thousand miles on bikes. Chippewa makes some tough boots that will last for years. The last pair would have lasted several more years but for the hole i burned in the side on an exposed header without a shield. Lesson learned, make a shield!!
I had a pair of 10" lace-ups. They were fitted at a professional shoe store, looked like a great boot but hurt my feet tremendously (diabetic) never could wear them for more than an hour or two and forget walking around.
I live in my work boots and have had great luck with Georgias, I don't care where they are made as long as they are comfortable.
Rockports are my favorite (read comfortable) casual shoes, so when I find a style I like I grab 2 pairs.
Put the boots in my basket and before checkout they said I could get a $70 credit/gift card if I opened an Amazon Visa(Chase Bank) account. My credit is quite good so I went for it. They did charge me sales tax. I don't know if that applied because Chippewa has retail outlets in IL or because Amazon is/has opened a warehouse near Chicago. I didn't think that would take effect this early in the year.
