I rarely see 1%ers where I live, and when I do I usually fail to notice what they're riding. I often wondered if they have fairly stock bikes or customized. If close to stock, how old? What models? If I came across his bike, would it be obvious? Anyone here know a 1%er and what he rides? The question keeps gnawing at me.

How does one know when they see a "1%er"? Do they wear a red sash or something like the Cowboys in Tombstone? Just curious...

 

In NYC, depends how "organized" ($$) the club is. They guys on Third Street ride anything from pans all the way up to new. Most are early to mid years Evo's with either big apes or drag bars.

 

I once saw an 81 riding a Hayabusa, so the answer is anything they want.

 

Yup several of the Oakland crew have and ride imports occasionally , whose gonna say something to them ? Think not...

 

Yep, it was in the East Bay. Definitely got my attention.

 

What about the guys who drink skim?

 

One of the Daly City guys rides a BMW and has ridden BMW's for at least a couple of decades.
