Maybe he means put a plastic bag inside, fill it with water then freeze them?

Water expands when frozen

Sounds like you missed a step (pun intended).

Funny guy.

Anybody know how to make a pure boots a little tighter? I already added an insert.

Maybe stick the boot into water and let the water freeze. Just the opposite of how to make the boot less tight? Only kidding of course.

Anyone know how to make boots tighter?

Soaking them in water and letting them dry may help but also ruin the leather so that may not be a good idea. ???

Buzz ocasonally getting leather wet does not hurt it, it does strip away some of the oils and repeated wetting will dry the leather out.
Wetting leather then letting it dry not on your feet will shrink the leather, drying on your feet will streach it to fit your feet.

My first pair of riding boots, HD brand, were so tight I took them to a boot shop and had them stretch them. Three times. I finally gave up and bought new ones (non HD brand).

For smaller boots, buy HD brand.

:D

Now that u say that my friend, I remember a video of a guy in West Virginia and he would take a brand new pair of boots, while on his feet, put them in a bucket of water or a lake or whatever it was and let them shrink for an hour or so. Do not recall the details.

But basically saying the same thing as you.

Thanks!

Back in my Army days, I'd break in a new pair of boots by getting them soaking wet just before setting off on a ruckmarch. They'd conform to my feet in action, snugging up considerably, but still allowing the needed movement.

Of course, this also chewed up my feet pretty badly too, so I only did it about once a year.
