Clymer Manuals

Hey, is a Clymer Service Manual a good investment or should I bite the bullet and buy the HD?

Thanks!

Nothing wrong with Clymer manuals in general, but the HD manual is better. I would bite the bullet and buy the HD one.

Buy the factory manual.Much more model specific and covers every thing you need! Well worth the dollars.

HD manual will be best $60 you spend

thanks all. found a used HD manual on Ebay for the same price as the Clymer. I'll add to the oil stains.

Buy the real thing! A Cliff Notes version of a Factory Service Manual will get one into far more trouble than it will ever get you out of.

Clymer Manuals are about as useful as tit's on a nun, waste of money......

I have both and the HD manual is much more detailed. The Clymer only compliments the HD manual by adding a few blow-up illustrations.

I had the Clymer manuals for 2 cars...many years ago. Unless they have changed, it seems they took the factory manual and tried to abbreviate it without verification.

Now, I'll just stick with the factory manuals.

You'll need to bite 3 bullets. The Service Manual, The Parts Manual, and The Electrical Schematic Manual.
