Default Using phone on handle bars

Gang, I just thought about something.

I have a Note 4 cell phone. I use it with my RAM phone holder. I'm wondering if the sun light or sun glare can damage the screen.

If so, what can I do to protect the phone?

Thanks!

If the ram holder is the big X shaped one. Your best bet is to not use that holder on rough roads over 40 mph.

My note 2 in an otter box case fell out of it at 65 mph on a cement highway. Luckily I caught it.

Good luck.

Yeah, I agree. I lost a phone using that X-grip holder. BUT, that's not the question...

I have been riding with iphone5 in Ram X mount 70+ on Pa roads & they are NO way smooth. I mainly use it to listen to my itunes via blue tooth & SENA SMH5. So far no issues.
Not social butterfly, but IF the wife needs me she can call.

Men,
The question is not about mounts...

The simple question is, Will the sun glare damage the phone?

Probably not as much as the stopped car in front of you would.

Comedians...everybody wants their 15 minutes of stand-up comedy time.

I called RAM mounts and asked the same question. I got the same answer as Tunafisher gave, "It shouldn't."

I asked because my Note 4 has a huge screen. I would not want the glare or sun exposure to cause any damage to the phone. These new smart phones cost as much as a monthly payment

I have a $2000.00 dollar Faruno chartplotter/fishfinder on my boat that sits in the sun all the time. NO, nothing has happened to the display. Sometimes hard to read in direct sunlight but no harm to the display. Your phone should be fine. If not, I would not buy the same brand again.
