Front break lever all the way to grip
I just changed wheel on my 2010 ultra to wheels from a street glide. (Too darn hard to clean) Now my brake lever on the 1st pull comes all the way back to the grip. The second pull is fine. I changed out all of the brake fluid and bled the brakes and it still does it. The rotors are the same size, so any solutions? Thanks

Bleed them again. I don't think you did a good enough job bleeding them the first time around since you said you changed out the fluid. When I think I'm done bleeding my brakes, I usually bleed them one more time after that just to be sure and you should check your fluid level again. There really isn't much to go wrong unless you took everything apart. If all you did was change fluids, bleed them again and see where your at then.

When I put the new rim on is when it started. I only changed the fluid after the grip started coming all the way back. I didn't change anything or do anything to the caliper when I changed the wheel. That's why I cant figure out why it all started with the rim change. All I did was undo the calipers and hang them off the handlebars and re-install them when the rim was changed.

I doubt if the pads themselves caused the problem. They aren't going to self correct in one pull of the lever and all of a sudden work after bottoming out on the first pull. Check your pistons and clean them if necessary. They may be sticking although I don't have a clue why the brake lever would bottom out if they are. If nothing else, cleaning the pistons isn't going to hurt a thing and may help and it's free.
