Default Questions on Rear Shock Change

I am planning to change out my current rear shocks, which I am pretty sure are Burly 10.5" shocks. These don't work for me and I want a good, longer shock, without breaking the bank. I am looking at the 412 series of Progressive shocks.

1. Anyone using them and if so, what are your opinions of them?

2. Does anyone know if I put on say 13" Progressives, will it raise the bike's seat height by the increase in shock length - 2.5" (13.0 - 10.5)? Or, is it some other ratio of height increase?

Got 12" Progressive 412's on my FL Shovel. Takes bumps better than my bagger. Bike sits low, but handles me (210 lbs.) and the occasional passenger well. Any more than that, you will need to adjust them higher, or go 13" (which was stock length on mine).

I'm not using the 412 but on my softail I use the 422 RAP series. Just mentioning as I'm a very happy 'progressive' customer. I'm guessing the 412s have the same quality build.

Thanks for the replies. Any thoughts on my second question - regarding the change in height?
