RetroBikeGear.com Review
Well my journey begasn when when I started searching for a helmet that
A. Was Light in Weight B. Quality Built C. Did not give me a "Mushroom"head effect. After buying and having to resell different big name brand helmets, I fell upon a video of a gentleman who purchased a Daytona helmet from retrobikegear.com. With a unbeatable price & Free shipping on orders over $50, I was skeptical to make the purchase. After of a night of sleep I decided to order the helmet along with some goggles (I had to make up the difference somehow to take advantage of the free shipping =) ). I placed my order on Friday and received my items the following Monday. INSANELY FAST SHIPPING. Quality Built. And best of all NO MUSHROOM HEAD Key points: (WEBSITE) -RETROBIKEGEAR.COM hit it home with the free 2 day shipping. -Customer service is outstanding, Mr Fred Engh has been replying to my emails basically back and forth all day yesterday. -Crazy low prices (usually I buy on eBay, this website had my helmet for even lower than eBay) In terms of the helmet I purchased: -The helmet sits very well on head -Adjustable side straps let you level the helmet so it sits perfectly on your head -Thin walls keep the helmet from popping out and giving you a mushroom head look Try giving them a look, I promise you wont regret it. Sorry for the long review, but I had to give credit where its deserved. retrobikegear.com Pictures for helmet fitment Sits low on head https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...54bd53f8d7.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...16866e3e62.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...e2990501af.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...e13d06aad7.jpg I had no one to take a photo of the backside so this will have to do lol I personally like how it contours the back of your head https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...4ea89e7bce.jpg |

Sure thing bud, I will snap some photos during my lunch break

Looks great, thanks for the pics. I'm sure I would look like an idiot in it, as I do with any helmet (or without).
Are those vents on the side? |
My only advice would be to get a helmet with snaps on the front for shields in the rain.
|
No vents on this version. Wind gets up under just enough to keep you fresh but not enough to make the helmet feel like it's flying off your head.
I do like the bubble shield idea. But here in south Texas we have hot weather %85 of the year so rain isn't really to much of a problem for me personally |
I've never once ever looked at a person wearing a helmet and said 'Gosh, they look stupid'.. I don't understand the people who are so obsessed with how it looks on them. You rarely if ever see yourself in a helmet so its obviously important to these people how other people think it looks. Strange priorities to me...

I havent lookED at someone and thought the person looks stupid, but I have thought the helmet looks funny on some.

Lets face it, the 1/2 helmet (any brand) only provides so much protection anyways. Might as well buy one that looks nice. Me personally, I wont wear a helmet if it doesnt fit me just right. A helmet on my head is safer than one sitting in the garage. Plus, I have owned about 3 harley helmets in the past 3 years. None compare to comfort to my daytona. The fact that I can adjust the level on which it sits on my head makes the fit just right. The harleys never sat right on my odd shaped head =\
