Does the new 2016 Heritage make the 2016 Switchback obsolete?

Default Does the new 2016 Heritage make the 2016 Switchback obsolete?
The new Heritage is now $17,350. It now has cruise control and ABS as standard. It has new bags that are not supposed to sag. It weighs 755 lbs wet. It has a seat height of 25.5". It has a passenger backrest.

The Dyna Switchback costs $17,200. It only comes with ABS brakes. The saddlebags are significantly smaller. It weighs 718 lbs wet. The seat height is 26.1". It doesn't have a passenger backrest.

Besides a preference in aesthetics, it seems as if the new Heritage is a more functional bike. Without having ridden either (I have ridden both a Softail and Dyna before) it also seems as if the Heritage is the more comfortable bike to boot. Aside from the 37 lbs weight advantage (not a big deal), the overall dimensions are similar. Also, the only other tangible difference is the 103B vs the 103A engine that the Softail and Dyna use respectively.

Is the Dyna Switchback now obsolete with the new Heritage in the lineup that seems to offer so much more and be the better value?

No because the switchback is the first and only stock Dyna bagger. Every Harley model line with the exception of the vrod and street bikes has at least one bagger. Personally I am not a fan of the new heritage but I am not the type Harley is marketing to.

The Switchback still has one trick up its sleeve that the Heritage does not. The ability to easily remove the bags and be a cruiser. Sales will tell if that is enough, but it is still unique enough to stay around.

The B motor is a killer for a lot of people...I am not a fan myself...I would bet the Dynas get cruise in the next year or so too...

No way, simply because the Switchback is a Dyna.

Not trying to take anything from the softail's but I think the versatility of the Dyna will keep it around.

The Dyna SB has hard bags that can get rained on and are lockable. Wash and wax, like the rest of the bike's paint.

The Heritage has soft bags that droop and must be cleaned, then retreated, and are not secure. Yeah, they won't droop...
