Default From Coast to Coast across the Arabian desert, 3000 miles in just 5 riding days

Just 3 weeks ago we completed our trip to Dubai and back from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. We planned it to do the trip in 4 riding days, 2 out and 2 back. This makes an average of 750 miles per day. We did this on our way to Dubai, making every leg appr. 750 miles with Riyadh close to the middle of the 1500 miles to Dubai.
The ride went through the Arabian desert and although we decided to avoid the real summer and do it in September the temps on our way raised to over 44 C. Our 2015 Limited did it with an enormous comfort for both myself as my co-pilote, better known as my wife. We covered our mouth and nose with a bandana, to protect sunburn, wind burn and sand storms. Huge 'sand devils' towered above us aside the road, camels were crossing the road, goats unexpected crossing and devastated trucks and car carcasses, completely burned out, were decorating the road sides. We crossed the Empty Quarters and every one who has ever been there knows that this is 500-600 miles of sand, sand dunes, sand on the road, sand storms and a deserted world, with exception of some gas stations every 100 miles or so. Anyway, it was a great adventure and we decided to split the way back into three. First from Dubai to Al Hufuf in Saudi (780 kms) and than to Riyadh again (380 kms) The day after to Jeddah in one leg, 1100 kms but appeared to become 1250 kms. Due to a mistake in road signs, misinterpretation of "Joyce" (my HD GPS voice) and a diversion we made an extra 150 kms that last day. A few remarks: what an amazing and super comfortable touring machine, our 2015 FLHTK Rushmore. And another: when does the MoCo decide to bring an oil cooler on the market for the Rushmore models? Because riding here is completely different from riding in Milwaukee.
