Tires for Road Glide

I've been told by a local motorcycle tire dealer that the only tires that can be purchased for a 2015 Road Glide have to come from Harley. Apparently the wheels for this model are different than previous models and will not accept any other brand than what can be purchased thru a Harley Dealer.

The tires sizes are pretty standard for cruisers, so size doesn't seem to be the problem.

Anyone ever heard of this before? Thanks!

LOL!!! Never heard anything like that and I wouldn't pay attention to it or go back to that dealer.

That's the last place I'd be buying tires.

go to http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com or any other site
and see if they have your size.

the moco may have a size when it comes out new that no other company makes, but eventually all the other manufacturers will make that size.

also, I've learned in a short 3 years, to never believe a thing they say at the dealer. Most of the people that work there have very little knowledge of what they speak of. but please note that i did say "most".

Thanks for the invite. I think that dealer has lost his marbles.

LOL!

You might have to go with a different sidewall profile in some brands but your diameter, width, and load rating are out there.

When the Son put some SE Agitator wheels on his Street Gl he was told only the dealers have tires the size they take.
So far, that's been true, we haven't found anyone else that make tires in the size they that matches the ones they come with.

I think that's B.S. I have a 2012 FLTRU, and I run Avon Cobra's on mine. Drives like it's born to have them. I have a 17" front and a 180mm rear. This is a great tire. I rode Venoms until they started phasing them out for wheels for my size.

Dunlop has had the 19 inch front tire available for quite some time, but the 18 inch rear has not. Until now. You are now able to buy the front and rear tires in the aftermarket. J&P had the set for a little over$300

Look for the American Elite series
