Anyone have good experience with prescription riding glasses/goggles?

I'm in the market soon for some prescription riding goggles (preferably) and am wondering what you've bought and how you like them? What all options did you go with? Was the price good?

I've been looking off and on for a couple months and the prices are just staggering. For example, I really like the Wiley X SG-1, but by the time they nickel and dime you on all the options, which seem pretty necessary then they're over $500!!! I upgraded the lens material, chose transitions, added polarization, and antifog.

check out riderseye.com I have had a couple of pairs from there and although they are cheap glasses they work just fine.

I went to a bike shop (not harley) and bought a cheap pair of riding sun glasses for about $20.00. I then took that to my eye doctor and had safety prescription lenses put in for about $200.00. Cost a little more because I got photo grays (darken up in sunlight, clear in the dark). Just have to make sure the frame has that R187 safety rating or whatever it is.

I bought these last summer and couldnt be happier. The side wind deflectors are removable and I fine I dont even need them. I tear up real easily and these prevent that.

I just use glass-over goggles I bought from the dealership for about 20 bucks...

bought bi-focal from optometrist..... transition lens, wrap around....not tight to face but close enough I do not need a seal and no wind. 1 pair for all weather/day/night. about $280. I would check your eye doc and see what they recommend.
just remember some places will get you for extra just because you have a motorcycle!!!

That's what I did.

Liberty no lines bifocal sunglasses I gave less than $250 for that I use during the day.

After the sun goes down (keep my night time driving to a minimum b/c deer and difficulty seeing at night) I'll change over to my no lines, progressive lens glasses.

Can't see spending $400-$500 on one pair of eyewear.

Probably have around $500 in both sets of mine.
