Default Glare paint care products

For Christmas my wife got me a paint care kit from Glare.com. I read about it for the first time here from another forum member. I wish I could give the credit to the person who started the other thread about it, but I can't find the original thread that introduced me to it.

So, with all that being said, the stuff is kind of pricey, but IMO is worth it. Following the directions and applying two coats, I have never seen paint as shiney, and as wet looking after using anything else.

This picture is right after the second coat. The house in the reflection is across the street, and is about 150 feet or so away.

This is a picture of my tank in the garage with an 8' fluorescent light above.

Same spot, but from above the tank.

It has been about 2 weeks since I applied the polish, and the paint still looks as shiney and wet as the day I put it on. I'm very pleased with the results. I'll give it a few more months, and if it still looks this way, Glare will get two big thumbs up from me!

I've looked at their stuff, most likely due to the same thread here you speak of, but got brain-overload and didn't come back. What product(s) did you get/use?

I use all their paint products. Fine spider webs or tiny scratches a little of their products and shines nice. I like that it is very easy to use and get excellent results.

I've used lemon Pledge for a long time on my bikes. Works great as a detailing spray, though, after a while it does leave a build up because of the wax in it.

You're right, $93 is kind of expensive for a car care kit. Though it did come with liquid clay bar, scratch remover, car wash and the polish. With that being said, a bottle of Scratch X 2.0 is $18 for 12oz, a Maguires clay bar kit is $17, a bottle of good car polish is $25-30, and a bottle of good car wash will cost $15 or so, making the grand total $75-80. I don't think an extra $13-18 is really that big of a difference, especially considering how well Glare worked. But hey, your millage may vary.

Paint on mine would never be perfect no matter what kind of snot I put on it,
If I had a new Heritage in the shed I would seriously consider using the Glare such as You have done,
Your bike looks good,
For now I get by with turtle wax express,
I dont see those scratches at 70 mph down the road anyhow

I see where your coming from. I'm just wanted to provide a review of something I got. I know that a lot of people aren't going to spend $93 bucks on a paint care kit, but some will. I know your probably not going to buy Glare, but for the other people who are looking at this thread, you can just buy the paint polish by it's self, without having to buy a kit here for $34.95, putting it in the price range of a lot more people. Just like motor oil, people will always choose different things based on price, likability, and perception.

As a dedicated shine hiney, I gotta admit that the reflective sharpness in your images makes me want it.
Also, I didn't know Pledge could cause build-up; I use it for a quickwax.
