Default Dumb a$$

I think i finally got my low idle and stall fixed. First I replaced the TPS didnt help, second I replaced the cam position sensor didn't fix it ,sent tuner back and had it checked out. , they did find a broken wire and sent me a new one didn't fix it , finally I replaced the IAC and so far all is ok. I should have started with the IAC and saved me alot of trouble and cash. I did try cleaning IAC and that didn't help any. Lesson learned LOL

Interesting, usually some improvement is found. But sometimes it takes a little more cleaning then just a spray, good thing you did finally find it.

I never go to a Dealer, having figured out what few solutions I've needed right here at the house. But on a road trip, 400 miles from home 3 yrs ago, my '00 RG starting missing badly as I was about to enter WV on the way back home to NC.

I had just passed a Dealership a few miles back so I limped back to it. Even though it was an early Magnetti injection, they still could plug it in an told me that it was a throttle position sensor and that the bike would make it back to the house (where I already had a spare.)

That was $65 well spent for their diagnosis IMO. Next time I have an injection related issue, I might just run by the local Dealer for a plug in before guessing what might be the problem.

Idle Air Control valve that bypasses air around the closed throttle butterfly valve.

Could the crankcase vents into the AC be fouling the IAC?

Was it less money than taking it to the dealer for service? If so,, you still win in my book!
Plus you have some new parts you dont have to worry about. Save the old parts for future troubleshooting. So now your money ahead!

Good to hear you found the problem, OP. When I read a thread like this it makes me feel blessed that all of my bikes are carbureted.
