She's on the cold, hard concrete floor with stabil in a full gas tank and a periodic battery tender. Didn't even bother to cover this year. I've been meaning to ride on nicer days and even have a heated vest, but never got around to it. Didn't get around to changing the oil before winter, either.
I'm a bad, bad daddy for ignoring her so. |
Mine always stays parked in my garage which has a "RaceTech" type flooring.
Other than needing to move it around I don't understand why anyone would store it on a jack or stand. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...103ea535e7.jpg |
I think several people are worried about flat spotting the tires. Hence the reason for keeping the bike on a lift or matt. I usually put five extra pounds of air in the tires & air then down for the season. I do the same when I store the car for the winter. Just add 10 more pounds of air. No reason to jack it up.

What do you keep your bike on during the winter ?

The tires, in the shop or going down the road. We have ice in our glasses not on the roads.

On a battery tender so I'm not anal about the bike! :icon_nic:

Mine spends the winter the same way it does the rest of the year... on the dirt floor under the carport with the other two bikes.
|
Both bikes winterized, cleaned and covered:
1. Street Glide's up on jack. 2. Sportster sits on floor/two anti-static carpet remnants. |
Anyone leaves a bike up in the air on a jack long term is an idiot, Mr Murphy will come visit you one day.
