Default Remove paint from gauge bezels

Does anyone have any recommendations for removing the black paint from the stock gauge bezels? I have a 09 ultra classic that had black paint on the stock gauge bezels from the factory. Due to sitting outside while at work and similar situations, the black paint has faded on the lower part of the bezels but there is still some on the upper part of the bezels. I want to remove the rest of the paint and polish the bezels but don't know what to use to remove the paint without hurting the aluminum or the paint on the painted inner fairing. I don't want to remove the outer fairing and take the bezels out. The only part of the bezels I want to do this to is the parts you can see in the pictures, not worried about the outer part of the bezels that face the painted fairing....if that makes sense.
Thanks for your suggestions.

I have studied all four of your pictures and cannot figure out what you are referring to.

Here is a better picture. You can see the black paint that is still on the upper part of the gauge bezels because it isn't in direct sunlight.

I can't see it either. Can you draw something on the photo?

I can think of a couple of things 1) try some toothpaste as a polishing agent, I've used the original Crest get a small travel tube at a drug store 2) maybe a rag moistened with mineral spirits, it shouldn't hurt the paint or aluminum.

I can see the problem now.I will add to the above quote by suggesting putting cleaning agent on a Q-tip.

I used a dremel tool with polishing tip, bonus is they are all polished when done.
I did mine when I had the inner fairing off for new paint. Try not to hit clear lenses.
Easy peasy.

I've used the original Crest ... “Crest has been shown to be an effective anti-cavity dentifrice that can be of significant value when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care”

I don't see anything about using it on HD's .... might void your warranty :>)
