Minneapolis/Twin Cities Riders.........
Anyone planning on venturing out this Saturday (27th)? It looks to be 50s out. I'm curious as to peoples opinion as to the salt left on the roads in the metro area? I know we had a couple of decent rains, but I'm thinking I should just exercise more patience...........

St. Cloud here, snow cover is all but gone and we did have some rain,,
But me riding? Not a chance.
I'm not going to put my bike on those roads, sure they might look clean for the most part but all it takes is that one low flat spot on the road where stuff pools and your into not just salt,, it's freaking Calcium/Magnesium Chloride.
And "in the city" is the worst, car tires spread around what's left, intersections have the stuff (and gravel) piled,,
There's plenty out there that are already riding. I asked one guy and he said he just takes it to the car wash.
(Car Wash? For a bike?)
Sure, get the underside of the bike wet, and then ride it home,, Right, that'll make it nice and clean.

South Metro here- (Prior Lake, Savage, Lakeville, etc...). We got a whole bunch of rain last Friday morning- which probably washed the salt away. If I do go out, it'll probably be just to say I've gone out in February. Usually the earliest is later in March or into April. 50 degrees, it's gonna get tempting though.................
