Default 12 inch ape for 2015 Street Glide???

Adding apes to 15 street glide. I love the PYO 10 inch apes, and the HD batwing 12 inch apes. I sat on a CVO street glide that had the 12 inch HD batwing apes on. Very comfortables for me. I know I want need new cables, wires, and lines for the PYO 10 inch apes. Can I get away with the HD 12 apes with stock cables, wires, and lines? part# Satin Black Batwing Mini-Ape Handlebar-57485-11

Thanks,
Brian

First may I say that you my friend will really enjoy those new bars. I have the 12 inch harley baggers and find them very comfortable. I had the dealer put them on. I can do the little things to the bike like changing oil and what not but when it comes to the big things, I would rather have it done right. A lot of touring done and coming up and wanted it down right. They had to use longer cable and wires so that they could route them the same as stock From what I hear you can use the stock but will need to change the way the go back on in order to fit. I hope this helps

WO577's (12 1/2") .............. Did it myself, cost $250. Bars were $200, wire extensions $25 and poly bushings $25.

^^^ I also have WO577's, and they are the most comfortable bars I have tried. I also have a pair of HD 12" apes, and Yaffe 10's. I think the WO577's are more comfortable because they have more pullback than either of the other bars. I need to sell the Yaffe's and HD bars.

Thanks for all the information guys. After talking to the dealership the salesman told me that the bars were WO578 CHUBBY® 10" BAGGER APE's and not the HD 12inch bagger apes. They felt great on the CVO Street Glide. I'm looking for the best/best price to order bars from.

Thanks,
Brian

You don't need new cables. You can run up to 14" bars with stock cables and wires. Factory 47 has a step-by-step 1hr video of installing 14" bars. I did my own install to save myself the $1,500 my HD was quoting me in labor. Followed along with the Factory 47 video and it was so simple.
