Default HD dealer poker chips

Anyone else collect them? I bought my Harley about a year ago, a week later my brother on the other side of the country bought one so we traded chips. That got me in to collecting them. Luckily I travel for a living so it makes it easy to hit a dealer every time I'm in a new town. I also like to get chips from dealers with some kind of history.

So far I have almost 50 chips, here are some of the cool ones:
  • Oldest dealer - Kegel - Rockford, IL
  • Oldest West coast dealer - Dudly-Perkins, San Francisco
  • Harley Corporate office
  • Harley Museum
  • Harley factory - Menomonee Falls - Powertrain ops
  • Harley factory - Kansas City - Vehicle and Powertrain ops
  • Dealer with multiple franchises - Riverside Harley - Riverside, CA; Avalanche Harley - Denver, CO; Rawhide Harley - Olathe, KS; Huntington Beach Harley - Westminster, CA
  • Southern most dealer in the US - Big Island Harley, Kona, HI
The franchisee with multiple dealers also has one in Billerica, MA that I hope to get to some day.
There is also one more HD factory outside of Philadelphia that I plan to get to in June.
All in all it's been fun to visit these dealers and see the making/history of the bikes and HD brand.

Anyone else collect chips in their travels or as a token of your travels?

I do collect the dealer chips. My rule is I have to be in the store for it to count. I don't travel much so I only have about 8 chips so far. But yes, every time I go into a dealership that I don't have a chip for...I buy one.

I'm getting a little confused on "oldest" dealerships out there. Kegel says they're the oldest family owned dealership... AD Farrow claims they're the oldest dealership... there's another one in the eastern side of the state that claims to be the oldest dealership in ohio but that seems kinda impossible if AD Farrow is really the oldest dealership.

I need more beer

Same as Gotnspikes, if at a dealership not been to before I pick up a chip. My only problem is to remember to get it. Memory has been a little gone lately. What are we talking about? Oh yea I have about 12 chips even though I have been to more dealerships than that. I think.

I know what you mean. I thought Dudley-Perkins was the oldest (I swear I read that somewhere), then I read that Kegel and DP were fighting over the title. Now I just saw the AD Farrow claim, LOL.

Next time I get to Columbus I'll hit AD Farrow so I have the oldest...those three can battle it out and I'm covered either way

My wife started collecting them last year when I bought my bike. She bought a frame that is made for them.

I buy one when I go into a dealership, put a piece of magnetic tape on them and put them on the beer fridge.

Absolutely no interest in collect chips myself, but my deaf friends do collect 'em and do chip trading. Also, My buddy in Florida have asked me to buy 'em up North where I live and hand over when I see him this summer. He's on his 2nd frame of HD Chip Collection now.

At new dealerships I generally buy a t shirt. Not to much into "collectibles" like chips and shot glasses. Waste of money in my opinion.

At this point I don't go to the dealers much and have only bought one or two shirts in the past couple of years. The last one was in Mexico. Or Paducah.
