Sat on it on the showroom floor, bought it and rode it home.

I brought mine from a private individual. I saw photos on Craigslist and it looked OK, enough to get my interest. I go over and the gentlemen opens the garage door. I see it for the first time, turn to him and say I'm not even going to dicker with you, I'll take it.

One of the best purchases I've ever made.

I bought a 2010 Road King brand new off the showroom floor. No test ride
On the way home I thought this bike is not as comfy as the VRod I traded in...
No offense to the RK guys! - but the seat was terrible...I fixed that right away
- but the bike and I just never got along.

It had the cat converter in the head pipes - thing never ran cool. It's long gone.

Bought a used 09 Electra Glide - best bike I've owned...but test rode this one!

I have bought three different Harley's over the years and never test rode one. I guess I never thought to ask if I could.

Nope. I had been looking for a SG with the options I wanted for over a month. So on my way home from work on a Friday I stopped at the local HD dealer and they had a shipment come in earlier that day. The salesman told me he had what I was looking for. Needless to say while they were prepping it the paper work was being done and I rode it home that night. Still grinning 5 years later.

Nope. I didn't even have my license yet. I had spent months looking and pricing bikes never really knowing if I was going to be able to get one but I dreamed the dream. I knew I would need a touring bike because of my back because pretty much everything I saw told me that was the best riding bike. I knew I loved the old style so the Road King Classic was the one. The only thing was, they stopped making them here in 2013 so I figured I would have to get something else if I wanted new or get one that would have quite a few miles on it. I finally decided to take the riding safety course. I figured it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and get my license so if/when I decided to get a bike I would be ready.

A few days before the course, I came across my bike online. I went and checked it out, used with 160 miles on it and way way discounted. I didn't figure I could go wrong and signed the papers. They delivered it to my house where it sat until I was legal. Been loving it ever since.
