Hey all I'm thinking bout using the vht flameproof coating on my engine n Trans but they r on the bench currently customizing my bike just wondering if anybody has done this without doin the heat cure cycle n if it held up

 

I sprayed some on my exhaust tips and the paint came off the first time I had a passenger on the bike a couple weeks after I sprayed them. It came off just from her heel being on it a few times. I had 3 or 4 coats of color and 3 coats of clear on it.. I'm redoing them and putting em in the oven for the heat cycling. The tips don't get near hot enough to cure the paint.

 

I use VHT black oxide case paint on engines. Holds up real good.

 

Tommy did u spray it in the bike?

No, the engine was apart.
