A V-twin with 4 push rods per cylinder does not make any sense. A 4 valve cylinder needs short stroke and high rpm to make power. A 2" valve will flow over 5 times the intake volume as 4 one inch and only needs 5K rpm to make power.

There is absolutely no merit to the concept.

Seems like an excellent way to double the sales of existing models and clear out all inventory of the "old" V-Twin ! And another excellent reason to hang on to what you have !

My brothers give me **** all the time when I say my '13 is the "Last of the good ones ". But F-it. It is what it Is. Ha!!!

I believe that as of next year, there are new emissions standards taking effect in Europe ("EU-4" ?) that the current twin cam motor cannot meet.

Perhaps this may have something to do with four valves per cylinder instead of two.

Also why there is going to be some kind of new cooling involved.
