Authorities ID Birmingham man killed in I-59 motorcycle crash
Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Birmingham crash during rush hour last week.
On May 26, a car and a motorcycle were involved in a collision on I-59 northbound near Roebuck Parkway.
Birmingham police and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the crash shortly after 4 p.m. There was heavy traffic in the area at the time, and the interstate was closed.
Kenneth Terence Stephens Jr., 37, of Birmingham, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:30 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
The driver of the other vehicle, whose identity was not released, was arrested on outstanding warrants unrelated to the incident.

My parents told me about that accident the other day... sad. RIP
They also told of another guy, a local school teacher, had been missing for a few days. Found his motorcycle in a ditch on County Line Road with him deceased and laying nearby. Doesn't appear to have been any contact with another vehicle. Surprisingly, where it happened there wasn't any other vehicles or witnesses. Sad.
