and kickstarters too! i tend to agree, but my kickstart days are over. i'm not scared of any carbed bikes as i was bought up with them way before fuel injection was thought of. todays injected bikes and cars are way better and once you get an understanding of how they work it gets easier.

I was brought up on carbs and fought the idea of owning a F.I. bike, but once I gave in and tried one I love it.

Carbs are good.

But so is protein... and sugar.

Oh, and alcohol! Wait, is that carbs?

My '78 XLCH had a Jap carb on it, and my '04 Road King has American Delphi EFI. OP should learn to spot BS when he sees it.

After spending the better part of my life turning wrenches and working on carbureted engines, I will take EFI any day over another carb bike.
I am on my first EFI bike right now because I thought the same way that I would never buy a bike with EFI. But now I like EFI ,cruise control ,anti-lock brakes.
One of the things I always hated was when my friends would start up and take off and I would either have to wait for the thing to warm up or be popping like hell until the thing warmed up.

I thought Germany's Bosh FI was first on the block.

Can't understand the love of carbs. Poorer cold starting, less power and mpg's.

FI is easy peasy. It is only 0's and 1's that tells it what to do.

I do keep a couple of them around for old times sake. A 97 Heritage Springer and an 03 883R. Every time I start them and wait for the warm up I am reminded of what an incredible leap forward FI is over the old days.
