Default 1977 FLH Electra Glide-Confederate Edition

Hi. You'll all be quick to notice I know next to nothing about bikes. I joined to ask a few questions for an older gentleman I know that does not use the internet.
In 1980, he bought a Confederate edition 1977 FLH Electra Glide and would like some information about it. Apparently, he spoke to someone involved with a magazine at some point, who checked the VIN and confirmed it is what he claims. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of who to contact to get authentication paperwork...I say that because in my searching, I've seen it mentioned. I'm sure it would be helpful for him, IF he's trying to sell it like I believe he is.

I've found that these are basically unknown bikes and I can't find a whole lot of information to give to him. Other than there were 44 FLH made and he has one. He told my boyfriend (who actually was talking to him about it, I'm the internet girl) that he thinks his bike is one of 3 left?

He no longer rides, if he wants to sell his bike so he can have some extra cash, I'm more than willing to make some phone calls or emails to help him out. If anyone has any ideas on who I could contact, I'd really appreciate it!

Call or e-mail the HD office in Milwaukee and talk to them.

great bike to collect, if it is original, especially now since the PC crowd has vilified the battle flag. I wouldn't leave it parked anywhere unattended.

Thanks for the help!

I'll see if I can get some pictures of it...am I able to post pictures as a new member?

I have the number for the museum, do I need anything other than the VIN when I talk to them?

The VIN should suffice, along with a picture or two maybe.
