Default How do you clean the inside of your helmet?

I wear a Schuberth C3 helmet. I put it on today and it was smelling pretty ripe.

Recommendations on specific cleaners, methods, etc., on cleaning the skid lid?

If your helmet liner snaps out, take it out, put in a bag, like a helmet bag, and wash on delicate cycle. Might want to take a picture so you put it back right. This works great on my HJC. I assume it should work better on your Schuberth. No directions in helmet, or their website?

50/50 water and vinegar. Saturate the foam, let it sit half hour. Pour it out and rince. Air dry.

Remove the face shield if it has one and wash the removable liner pieces in the washing machine. Then immerse the entire helmet in warm sudsy water for an hour or so. Lightly scrub the interior then immerse again in warm water to rinse (I do this twice) then set on wire rack for two days to drip and air dry. I do this to all my helmets every winter. Don't forget to wash your gloves too.

In between washings I spray the helmet liner with Febreze Free after each use. I keep a spray bottle next to my helmet. It doesn't clean it but it keeps the liner from smelling. I'm not concerned about the chemical getting on my head because I wear a doorag under my helmet.

I remove the liner and throw it in the washer.
