I just had the download from Hatley installed I'm really happy with I still have the same problem. Do u guys know if they give refunds? I rather save and just get a power commander!.
Well the reason I did the tune was because I started noticing black residue on the tips of my pipes from even doing a 30 minute run I was hoping this would solve it but when I rode back home 45 minute ride I noticed it came up again it still burning rich
Again, it would help to know what kind of bike and equipment you have.
Never mind the pipes for now, what do the plugs look like?
The reason I ask is that the download is software (as others have mentioned), and I'd be interested to see if the dealer charged you for the software or for the labor to install it.
Either way, I doubt they'll refund your money, but they might be willing to put the stock map back on the bike, free of labor charge.

To me it's simple, if you are unhappy with the results of your download then go back and tell them.

That guys but I'm gonna end up keeping my download not doing the refund. It runs good I'm just gonna save and get a power commander. But now I'm stuck with these vied wires. I emailed night rider they said I can get a full refund!! But now I gotta find the package have any of you guys returned your but in a difference bag?
I would go back to the dealer and see if they can make it right or better for you. If not, ask them to order you a FP3 for your bike and credit you back what you have paid, to make it right.
If that doesn't work, just bite the bullet and buy a powervision or fp3. It's what is going to make you happy in the long run.
Yea that's what I'm thinking I talked to my mechanic and he told me it's normal what's going on as long as it's not black smoke coming then I'm burning rich. Like u said in the future I'll buy a fp3 or power commander it'll be better in the long run. Thanks man
i'm not sure that you're gonna get what you're looking for with a power commander either. it sounds like you don't place as much importance on how your bike is running as you do to the residue on your exhaust. look at any exhaust, you're gonna find residue. even on a stock bike. and the canned map for your power commander is gonna be richer than stock.

Tell them your frustration, but be careful as they will probably try to sell you something else....
Ask them to take out the map that they put in, and put it back to stock and ask for your $$$ back, or perhaps apply it to a PC-V which BTW they do not like.
