I am looking at buying a bike through a salvage/repo website. Sometimes they do not have keys/fobs, does anyone have experience or knowledge of how to obtain replacements with proper ownership paperwork? Thank you.

 

You can get a new key from the dealership. You just need to show proof of ownership and give them the vin number. It's about a two week wait.

 

 

You can get a FOB programmed at the dealership. I got one for my road king when I bought it with only 1 fob. I bought a new fob from the dealership and they programmed it for my bike. Note: You can only programme a maximum of 2 fobs at any one time for a bike.
