Default How often to bleed brakes.....

Just check my records and noticed the last I bled the brakes was in May of 2012. Damn, hard to believe how fast the years go by. Anyways, how often do you guys bleed your brakes? Thanks!

Harley just had a major recall of recent bikes for brake failures. Their excuse put it all on their customers, for not changing out brake fluid.

Non-ABS, I bleed every year. Cheap insurance, why taunt the gods of fate? It's easy to do, no excuse for any HD owner not to be doing it...

When I first picked up my bike three years ago the front brake was spongy. It took three months of trying everything to get it right. I'm not going to tempt fait right now as they are working great.

I have eight motorcycles, and do it annually.

What else am I going to do when it's snowing?

Once a year on my bike. Brakes still work perfectly after 22 years.

Why is it necessary to bleed the brakes if the system has not been exposed to air? You don't bleed your auto brakes every year... are motorcycles brakes different?
