Default Need to find part number

Need to find part number for left front turn signal stem on 1998 Sportster 1200 Anniversary Special.

My boy got it in a ditch and broke the turn signal off it.

Ihave looked on Ronnie's Microfiche but it's not on there.

Unless the MoCo kept using the exact same set of turn signals up and past the years of 08-09, you're probably going to be SOL on a parts #.

Are you talking about the front turn signal relocation kit?
I see some pictures of 98 1200 Customs and it looks like the turn signals where mounted under the brake/clutch controls from the factory. My GF has a 98 883 where the front directionals were relocated to the lower triple tree because of a windshield. I found this kit that appears to fit your bike (looks like what she has on her bike).

These are the rear turn signal. Not made like the front ones.

so basically, you are not looking for an oem part, but rather an aftermarket part. if you can find the turn signal relocation kit on h-d.com, there should be a link to the instructions on there. those will have all the associated parts breakdown.
