Default Hot weather oil

I run Mobile One 20-50 in my 2001 RK. I am going to be doing another oil change soon and with temps in the 80s-90s I am thinking of going with Amsoil straight 60.
Who changes to straight weight 60 in the hot temps or do most just stay with 20-50 multi.

The manual states to run 60w in the summer. Good idea!

20W/50 is fine...it's all weather (hot/cold & in-between).

In the 70s, we used Valvoline 90w. The only place we could get it was at a unclaimed freight place.

The owners manual makes all of this pretty clear; Valvoline VR1 SAE 50 in my ride, 20W-50 in higher temperatures is just lazy ownership

I run Mobil 1 20w50 vtwin year around and don't have any issues. The past month or so the temps have been close to 100 with a heat index over 100 every day.
