I'm not talking about the once a week or even twice a week guy or gal. I was curious to see how many really ride their bikes and use them every day. I thought I rode a lot until one of my co-workers with a 2013 Heritage recently turned over 140k on that bike.

HOLY CRAP! I have used both my bike and a vehicle for years, but most of my commuting is on my Harley. I was curious to see who else rides to work and uses the bike for more than a weekend toy or garage jewelry.

No judgement on my part, either way I am just curious. It seems I am in a minority here in Houston.

 

Every day unless there's a thunderstorm in progress, snow on the streets or in the forecast, or temps are 15 degrees f or lower.

 

I ride to work everyday possible all year, all weather.

 

I ride everyday until they start salting the roads, but soon that will be a problem of the past, and I'll be able to ride 365 again.

I don't have my own car. I ride to work daily most year round. If it's below 20* or snowing (yes, it gets colder than that and snows in Albuquerque, but not too much) I bum a ride from someone, usually my wife. This past winter I think I didn't ride to work 15 or so times total during December, January, and February. On my third year now with no car of my own.

 

Used to 5 days a week, then an extra day to the gym.

Then I got a cage I like - and cut down to 2 times a week total.

 

I ride to work every day except Tuesdays (this is the day I drive my car to charge up the battery). I do 15 Km each way every day, 4 days a week which works out to about 120 Km / Week total.

 

I try to ride in as much as I can. If it was under 30 all night long I worry about ice on the road and use the truck and if it's raining when I walk out the door I take the truck. I hate showing up to work wet.

 

Ride everyday. To work and on the weekends. I have a car but don't like being in a cage. The winter rain storms are the best!
