Default Anyone else use a vest air-bag system?

Just wanting others thoughts about the vest air-bag system.

To hopefully increase safety, I purchased and am using a vest air-bag system (the vest inflates when you come off the bike in a crash).

Initial research on it seems to be positive, but wondering if any of you out there have actually had experience with it in a crash?

Can you provide a reference link for it?

I just cut a neck-hole in one of those army surplus inflatable rafts. Tether the strap to the handlebars.
If you get in an accident, the whole thing will completely surround you, and after that you can rent yourself out to one of those kids birthday parties as a bouncy house.

Type "Hit Air Vest" in Google. You will find a link.

Very well thought out system.

WOW, pretty pricey. You'd be better off spending that money on advanced riding lessons! Seriously, having better skills will often enable you to avoid accidents altogether, instead "having to lay it down".

Regardless, I can't help but think that if someone is that paranoid about riding/crashing, maybe they shouldn't be riding at all...

I suppose in Japan motorcycles are more of a requirement for transportation but here in the US if the safety concern is so much that I've got to wrap myself in bubble wrap to feel safe then I'll hanging up riding.

The concept certainly seems well thought out but the application IMO isn't realistic.

Most injuries occur to the legs and head.
Might be useful if you crash near water, as a flotation device.

That is classic, thanks for the laugh of the day!

I believe this technology has a place on the track

If the thing malfunctioned it could cause a crash.
