Looking for a good low hanging guard rail for a 2012 RK Classic. I know, I know, do a search, but I'm old and not getting any younger and made it through the first 100 of 500 pages of the "turning a Classic into a Classic" thread. I didn't find the guard rail info but I ended up spending over $500 on other stuff I didn't even know I wanted....I can't afford to read any further into that thread! As always, photos appreciated and good Karma to you for helping the elderly and technologically challenged.

 

Here's the thing you need to know. There are two different "Classic" style gaurds for your'12. One is for the Road Kings with leather bags and one is for Road King's with hard bags. Like mine. They are not interchangeable, but look almost exactly the same. No part numbers off hand, but just something the be aware of. The biggest difference between the two is the set for leather bags has a gentle rear curve and the hard bag classic guards have a sharp curve.

I found this set on ebay. Brand new, about 1/2 the price of genuine Harley accessory. Probably made in the same factory.
