Default Do you lock your bike?

I have a 2013 Super Glide. The switch on the tank does not need a key. So I usually keep the key in my pocket. If I stop at a store or restaurant I usually forget to lock the switch.....till I'm in the store. Don't know if I should run out and lock it or just trust that no one is going to steal it. I live IV a very low crime rate area.

Not sure if my lock works since I've never used it.
I don't even carry the keys.

I lock the neck and I have a disk brake lock, that I use at night. Going into stores, I'll lock the neck. At the shop, I don't lock it at all.

I always lock my bikes with the ignition key, and the forks if I'm leaving for longer than just lunch or out of sight. I've come back to my bike and found the ignition turned to ACC and a dead battery.

I especially lock the bike at the dealership, anybody could ride off on your bike, who would notice?

Everybody should do what they feel comfortable with, I even use both locks in my own garage. Anything to make a thief's life more difficult.

I lock it all the time -- it's a good habit to get into. I once had someone turn my bike on and kill the battery. It's easy to get in the habit of locking up. Why risk a problem? Ron

I probably should lock the ignition but don't. I do lock the tour pak and saddle bags.

With a disk brake lock - do you have to wait for the rotor to cool down to use it?

i take your bike doesn't have security?

typically, i don't worry aobut too much. if i'm parked for overnight, then i'll lock the forks. but if i'm just going into a restaurant or store, i let the security do it's thing.
