Rear Final Drive Pulley Width

Rear Final Drive Pulley Width
I ordered a pulley online stating it was 1-1/8" x 70 tooth. It arrived and measurs 1-1/4" id. I was expecting it to be 1-1/8" id. Company sas there is no such thing as 1-1/4" belt and that the pulley is for a 1-1/8" belt. This will allow 1/8" movement which should be ok for me. I am wondering if all sizes will be slightly larger to allow for belt to fully seat in the pulley? Does anyone know? Is the 1-1/2" belt pulley width 1-5/8" wide and so on for other sizes?
This would make sense to me as many posts talk about the belt tracking to outside on forward wheel rotation and to the inside when backward wheel rotation. Mine currently is 1-1/8" id with 1-1/8" belt and it makes a slight squak. Maybe this pulley was actually made for a 1" belt.
Any info will be appreciated.

Not sure about a 1-1/2" pulley, but I would think so. I have a 1" pulley on my Breakout and it's actually 1-1/8" and a 70t 1-1/8" pulley on my Rocker, that like yours, is actually 1-1/4" inside width, both bikes have a 1" belt.... The pulley "size", is really what size belt it's made for.
