Default Drive belt noise

2001 Road Glide. Seems like the rear drive belt makes noise, but only after it's warmed up. Belt tension is set at 3/8" or a tad more, the wheel is lined up in the swingarm per service manual with a guide rod and taking measurements off of the main swing arm pivot bolt. Anyone else have this problem before and if so what is the cure ?
Thanks in advance Jonnierock

How many miles on said belt?
Orig. belt?
What kind of noise is it making?
Pitch change with wheel speed?
Growl?
Hiss?
Try loosening to 5/8" instead of 3/8ths. See if it changes.

Is it mostly at a particular speed or power input? What kind of sound?

25K, belt looks like new. The only way I can explain it, is it like a low rubbing sound or growling and only after it's warned up. Next I'm going to clean the belt, and try maybe loosing it a little.

Are you sure it's the belt? That's unusual. Once the belt is properly adjusted leave it alone. Maybe more likely it's the wheel bearings or the tire.

Adjust it with a gage. Be sure you are using correct service manual since they are different as to if seat is loaded or not. Hit a few sprays of talcum power on it. It will lubricate it and if that is noise, it will go away. New belts come with something on them. It wears off pretty quick but then dust usually takes over. Some keep things so clean, rubber belt squeaks. (do not breath power..it's a hazards nowdays)
