Mustang Wide Touring for 2001 RK
I was looking for a better seat for my passenger than the stock seat I have. I could also use one so I was looking at the Mustang Wide Touring. The reviews I have read have been good but some said on my bike it will put me an inch higher and an inch closer to the handlebars. Anyone have one on their RK?
I would be buying one without seeing one and that gives me a littl pause.

I had THIS Harley Davidson Sundowner seat on my 2004 Road King Custom with the driver backrest. My wife loved the seat and it was an all day seat for me.
The seat: http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...16-5161599c--1

I do not have a picture with the backrest but here it is on my bike. It put the stock seat to shame. Note the bottom picture with the highway pegs on the crash bar. They were awesome for the highway while leaning back in the seat.

I have the seat on my EGC. Comfortable but my only issue is that when both feet are down on the ground while at a stop it feels a bit uncomfortable in that my legs feel too spread apart and rubbing against the seat. Would have preferred the narrower model seat. Got the wide touring seat so that the wife would be comfortable, no complaints from her. Did not notice any difference in terms of height or reach.

I had that seat on my 05 RKC, I hated it, and sold it a week later.
It was too wide for me, and actually cut off the circulation to my legs.
The very first ride, after 15 miles, my legs were going to sleep, and had
to get off and walk it off. The seat cut into my thighs too much I think.
It was fairly comfortable, but the leg thing was a deal breaker!

So maybe I should add that I also have the Mustang Vintage wide seat now on my Super Glide Custom. I really like the Mustang on this bike. However, it did move me a little forward from stock. I would have bought another Sundowner for the Super Glide however it is too large and looks dumb on the smaller Dyna frame. This is not the case on a Road King. Do yourself a favor and ride the bike to your local Harley dealership and they will allow you to try out a Sundowner. Bring your lady too. I PROMISE you it is the correct seat for two up or solo riding on your bike.

I had the Mustang wide touring seat on my Roadking and I loved that seat. It was the second wide touring seat I had put on a bike. The first was on a Low Rider. In both instances, the seat was very comfortable and I didn't notice the seat putting me any higher or farther forward. I've had a total of 3 other mustang seats on various bikes and they were by far the best seats I've had.........except for my custom Danny Gray that I wouldn't part with for love or money. I've had Corbins, LePera's, Saddlemans, 2 or 3 Harley seats, and the Mustang is MY favorite out of all of them......except for the Danny Gray. Anyone sitting on the back of that Mustang won't complain either.
